1977年毕业后，菲利斯在中途大学开始了她的职业生涯，担任书店经理，目前是健康科学学院的行政助理。 在她40多年的职业生涯中，她担任过许多职位，包括管理中途岛朗维尤骑马营，长者宿舍营地和担任教务秘书。

作为中途岛的一名学生，她学会了积极主动，表现出最好的一面，倾听同学们分享他们的背景和文化。 She expressed, “It did not take long to forge friendships while learning and appreciating a variety of cultures on campus.”

她最喜欢的中途岛记忆是每年毕业前的灯光之夜和友谊圈（篝火）。 She added, “It was a special time to express thoughts and well wishes to friends and graduates. It was an emotional time for all.”

Phyllis advises current students to “be proud of 华人博彩论坛r accomplishments, keep in touch with friends and those 华人博彩论坛 consider mentors. Be strong, stay calm, stand 华人博彩论坛r ground when 华人博彩论坛 are right, admit when 华人博彩论坛 are wrong, stay humble, accept criticism, and learn from the experience.”
